It can be connected up to 16 cards issued to the I2C bus. The following addresses are adjustable by jumpers:
PCF8574: 64, 66, 68, 70, 72, 74, 76, 78
PCF8574A: 112, 114, 116, 118, 120, 122, 126, 128
So you can control up to 128 outputs on these cards.

The port extensions PCF8574 or PCF8574 A have the disadvantage that they switch at power ON all outputs HIGH.
Only when transmitting data over the bus are transferred, the outputs switch correctly.
Inverted logic:
If this interferes with your application, the board can also be fitted with negative logic. The outputs or relays remain in power ON initially off. About the bus but the value must be transferred inverted.
