Level Translating from 3.3 V to 5 V for GPIO ports SDA and SCL
The GPIO interface of the Raspberry PI is designed for 3.3V level. The I2C repeater raises the level of the SCL and SDA pins so that they are recognized clean 5V I2C slaves to 5V.

The kit contains the completely assembled PCB with all SMD components as well as the post connectors and 5-pole terminal strip. These can be ordered with either a fixed or pluggable terminal clamp.
